Wonderful article! I will remember it when I attend Mass Easter Sunday. Just this morning, I read a Catholic Substack author writing about how God is outside time, therefore we can pray now for Jesus before his crucifixion, or for ourselves in the past. Lovely synchronicity.
thank you for this article! a great work you have done by writing it. i am currently in the process of writing something on the eleven primary forces/steps to God with God Himself being the final stop after all eleven are made, and time is among them, so this has been truly enlightening and inspiring.
i had similar thoughts on time but struggled to articulate them, and in what i failed, you prevailed. amazing job!
Thank you so much for the kind words, that really means a lot to me! I put a lot of time and energy into this one, so to hear that at least one person found it useful makes it all worth it.
Excellent article, Ioannis! I was reading a 1905 book that also dealt in geometric theology, except instead of time it mentioned space and the fourth dimension, what a sinchronicity!
What a fascinating article! I do think the cone shaped space/time model has merit. The Egyptians entombed their Pharaohs in pyramids - man made mountains of sand - which were constructed for travel to the life after death. A stairway to heaven, so to speak.
Awesome! This truly is excellent work. I appreciate your reliance on source material: it hammers home the point that this perspective is not new despite feeling that way when first wrapping ones head around it. As we stand at the threshold in our times of need, the old becomes the new in providential answer. Thank you for working to bring what’s old and true back into the light.
And I’m happy to provide food for thought! My whole purpose for writing is to illustrate a side of Christianity which has been lost to us modern folks in the Western world.
This is an excellent article. Excellent. I thought the the ‘big’ concept behind specific namings of Saints like St Catherine of the Wheel was a sort of wink. As a Saint, one reaches Theosis and so joins into Eschatological time. Well what does that mean? That a person has pushed beyond/outside the cosmic ‘wheel’ of time with the outer border being represented by the decans. Stellar archonic entities that have strong influences on the ‘rules’ of non-sacramental time/space.
So a Saint can be both ‘here’ and ‘there’.
So: If you draw a line to represent linear time and a vertices spiral above that line it helps to ‘see’ how this is possible in a visual sense. The spiral of course represents the Eschaton in Sacramental time.
I dunno. I’m hitting the edge of my thoughts. I ate a lot of mushrooms prior to my conversion and one thing I ‘learned’ from that is that reincarnation is nonsense and so is linear time as anything other than a trap.
But I had no model to frame what I was seeing until reading St Maximos.
Interesting what you said about archonic entities who influence the dynamics of time. That's something I have been mulling over for awhile, I think the planets and zodiac signs have something to do with this.
Funny you had that psychedelic experience which led you to Orthodoxy, sounds similar to my own path.
Thank you sir. I think that people coming from those backgrounds tend to up in Orthodoxy because it’s the only Path that can contain…everything. I really *didnt* want to become Christian. I was very hostile towards it. So I kept trying to find -ologies that would break it. And you can. Quite easily. Well. You can easily break a modernist’s false understanding of moralisms and legalisms. But you can’t break Orthodoxy. Anyone who thinks you can simply hasn’t gone far enough in. Hasn’t encountered Christ yet.
Saint Menas, pray for us! 🌍🐪⚔️🛡️
Really good work and great timing

This is kind of Christian framework speaks to me. Retrocausality is something I wrestle with and this provides an interesting sparring partner
Do tell, I’m curious to here more.

Fascinating to hear your thoughts!

Couldn’t have said it better myself!
Your work is brilliant friend. God bless you.
Oh I've been WAITIN for this one!
